Our standard hours
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
We offer emergency sessions outside standard office hours to assist clients in crisis or to attend amidst other commitments.
Sessions are by appointment only and are available before 9am and after 5:00pm.
Please be aware these sessions do incur a surcharge of $50 which is in addition to above standard session rates.
Our Psychology service offers a broad variety of benefits for NDIS participants, including an improved ability for you to relate to family and friends, connect with your local community and enrich your quality of life.
Like other allied health disciplines, the role of a NDIS psychology clinician is to help you reach your goals. Our psychology clinicians will complete a disability focused assessment of psychology support needs to identify the cognitive, behavioural and emotional barriers and skill-deficits preventing you from achieving your NDIS goals.
Our psychology clinicians will then generate an individualised, evidence-based intervention plan to address these.
Individuals with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from their doctor are able to receive a rebate of $96.65 with a Generalist Psychologist.
Upon visiting your doctor, they will make an assessment about whether you are eligible for such a plan, and may refer you to a psychologist.
Eligible clients are entitled to up to:
You will need to have your Mental Health Treatment Plan before you come to the first session with your Psychologist in order for your rebate to be processed.
Your Medicare rebate will be processed electronically at the end of your consultation as a client reimbursement.
If you have ‘extras’ private health insurance you may be eligible to claim rebates for psychological sessions assessments.
Each health insurance package is different and rebates depend on extras cover schemes which can change over time, therefore, we recommend that you check with your insurer about rebate amounts.
Please note that the Item Number for an initial consultation with a Psychologist is 100, and subsequent consultation is 200.
Individuals: Payment is made on the day of the appointment via cash payments or EFTPOS. We have a HICAPS terminal, and can process MEDICARE and Private health care rebates in the office.
Credit Card Payments attract a 1.2% surcharge
Third Party Payers: An invoice will be issued and payment will be required within 7 days of the invoice via electronic bank transfer or credit card (over the phone). Payment details will be provided on the invoice.
We understand that paying a cancel fee can be frustrating, and we genuinely dislike having to enforce it.
Our cancellation policy is communicated through various channels, including booking confirmations, appointment reminders, SMS notifications, online bookings, website, and in-clinic displays.
A'No Show' is considered to have occurred if the client is late without notification by more than 25 minutes to an appointment.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
(i) If you cancel 48 hours or more before the session, you won't have to pay a cancellation fee.
(ii) If you cancel 24 to 48 hours before the session, you will pay 50% of the session cost.
(iii) If you cancel less than 24 hours before the event, you will need to pay the full session cost.
(iv) If you don't show up for a booked session, you will be charged the full session amount.
NDIS Cancellation Fees (based on the NDIS schedule of fees)
If cancelled with less than 48 hours notice = Full cost of session
If unable to attend, consider switching to an online or phone consultation to avoid cancellation fees.
